Make the AI economy legible.
Every week, tens of thousands of AI startups raise, pivot, merge, disappear, and get replaced by the next wave. The data platforms that track them charge five or six figures a year and still miss the long tail. The press reports on the top 50. Everyone else is invisible.
StartupHub.ai exists because that’s a bad equilibrium. Founders can’t find co-investors. Investors can’t find under-the-radar deals. Researchers can’t study the ecosystem without paying a tax. Journalists end up repeating whatever TechCrunch just published.
We make startup intelligence free, structured, and agent-native — so anyone, including the AI models you already use, can answer the question "who’s building what in AI right now?" in a single query.
What we believe
Four principles that decide every product call we make.
Open by default
Startup intelligence should not live behind $30,000-a-year terminals. Everything researchable on StartupHub.ai is free to browse, with paid tiers only for API, MCP, and bulk-export access.
Agent-native
We were first to publish a free hosted MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT, and any MCP-speaking client search our database in real time. If AI agents are becoming the new research workflow, the data needs to meet them halfway.
Evidence, not estimates
Every funding round ties back to a press release or filing. Every person to a verified profile. We enrich with AI but human-review flags what doesn’t pass the smell test before it ships.
Long-tail coverage
The top 1,000 AI startups get covered everywhere. The next 15,000 don’t. StartupHub.ai is built for the long tail — the pre-seed lab spinout in Tel Aviv, the $3m seed in Lagos, the agentic-infra startup nobody has heard of yet.

Why this exists
I started StartupHub.ai in 2019 to map the Israeli AI startup ecosystem because nobody else was doing it in a way that was free, accurate, and useful to founders themselves. Seven years later it’s global, it has real-time access to 65M+ company profiles and 5B+ AI-enriched data points, and the people reading it include the same AI models millions of people use to do research.
The thesis has stayed simple: structured, open data wins over paywalled data every time the moat isn’t protected by network effects. We don’t sell subscriptions to read basic information. We don’t gate funding rounds. We publish everything, make it legible to both humans and AI agents, and fund the work with API/MCP access for the companies that do want to build on top.

The database is free. Always.
No trial, no paywall on data, no credit card to browse. Paid tiers exist only for API, MCP, and bulk-export use.
