Obot AI, an open-source software company, has secured $35 million in a seed funding round. Mayfield Fund and Nexus Venture Partners co-led this investment.

The company builds enterprise-ready platforms for the emerging Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard. MCP, an open-source standard from Anthropic, acts as a universal interface, connecting LLMs with external tools and data sources, enabling AI models and agents to interact effectively with third-party software.

Obot AI’s MCP Gateway provides a unified, open-source solution. It helps enterprise developers and IT teams control and manage the security of MCP servers and MCP-enabled enterprise AI solutions.

The Nanobot MCP Agent Framework further enables developers to quickly prototype and deploy sophisticated AI agents. This framework supports MCP-UI, an experimental extension allowing AI agents to render active user interfaces. Companies like OpenAI and Google Cloud AI also navigate complex AI integration challenges. Obot AI addresses the fragmentation, governance, and integration issues organizations face when adopting AI.
