Intuit Inc., the financial technology giant behind TurboTax and QuickBooks, has announced a multi-year partnership with AI safety company Anthropic, known for its Claude models. The collaboration aims to integrate custom AI agents and Intuit’s financial intelligence into both companies’ platforms, targeting consumers and mid-market businesses.
Under the terms of the Intuit Anthropic partnership, businesses will gain the ability to build and customize secure, compliant AI agents directly on Intuit’s platform. These agents will leverage Anthropic’s Claude Agent SDK, allowing for industry-specific financial workflows. For example, a restaurant chain could deploy an agent to analyze margin variances by combining sales, inventory, and Intuit data like food costs and payroll across locations.
Conversely, Intuit’s established financial expertise will be embedded within Anthropic’s ecosystem. This means users of Anthropic products like Cowork, Claude for Enterprise, and Claude.ai will access tools from TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp. A solopreneur could connect transaction data to Claude and use integrated Intuit tools to generate professional invoices.
The companies emphasize that all AI experiences will operate within Intuit’s security and data privacy infrastructure. Additionally, Intuit plans to deploy Claude Code across its engineering organization to accelerate internal development. Rollout for these new features is slated for spring 2026.
